Haley ~ Veterinary Assistant
Haley began job shadowing at Pine Tree in September of 2015 and officially joined the team in November of 2015. She loves working with animals and enjoys that her job challenges her to learn new things every day. All the puppies and kittens are a great perk, as well! Beyond working with us, Haley is studying special education. Outside of work and school, she enjoys kayaking, reading, traveling, and volunteering. She shares her home with her boyfriend, Kyle, 3 cats, Arya, Dibbs and Rosie, a leopard gecko named Kiwi, a giant day gecko named Franklin, and a hamster named Ginny, |

Katie ~ Veterinary Assistant
Katie joined the Pine Tree team in April of 2019 after working in the veterinary field for about 3 years. Previously, she lived in Colorado and worked at an Animal Emergency Clinic and the Milliken Animal Clinic. Katie earned her Bachelor's degree in Zoology. Her cat, Garfunkle, rules the house where she and her fiance share space with him. We are very fortunate to have them all here in Maine now! |

Julianna ~ Veterinary Assistant
Julianna began working at Pine Tree in June of 2020. Julianna recently graduated with an Associate's degree in Veterinary Science from Becker College, with a concentration in animal care. She was previously a kennel assistant at Becker College, an intern at the Waterville Humane Society, and a Veterinary Assistant at Banfield. Julianna has a special love for cats and enjoys fostering kittens. She currently lives with her two cats, Carmen and Nola. Juliana enjoys working in veterinary medicine because she loves helping animals and learning new things every day. |

Shannon ~ Veterinary Assistant
Shannon joined the Pine Tree team in March of 2007 after working for one year at a large boarding and daycare facility. During her 13 years at Pine Tree she's become a leader for other staff members. She stays in the field because she enjoys helping animals in need along with the people to who bring them in. Also, there's never a dull moment! When she's not at work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family including her husband, son, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a fish named Jerry. |

Jennifer ~ Client Service Representative, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jen joined the team in October of 2013 following working at a local veterinary hospital as well as a dog boarding facility. She has loved animals since childhood and always knew she wanted to work closely with them. Plus, she's always been fascinated with medicine, which led her to an associate's degree in Veterinary Technology through the University of Maine Augusta in 2010. Her interests outside of veterinary medicine include technology, gaming, and being a crazy cat lady :) She currently shares her home with her 3 cats: Screamer, Ajani and Jazal.

Lori ~ Client Service Representative
Lori began working at Pine Tree in October of 2007 after a successful career managing the Kennel Shop and Animal Care Centers from 1985-2007 and working at the Kennebec Valley Humane Society from 1983-1985. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge pertaining to animal care, customer service, and business management. Lori loves working with people and pets, helping people provide the best care for their pets through standard and newly developed medical treatments. Outside of work, Lori is skilled at crafting including antique doll repair and collecting, model horses, and creating miniature horse tack. She enjoys gardening, antiques, and spending time with her husband, 3 dachshunds, 2 finches, a betta fish, and tons of cacti and succulents.

Carly ~ Client Service Representative
Carly has long been a part of the Pine Tree family, working summers here from 2008-2012. She earned a BA in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee. We are so glad she decided to return to Pine Tree in 2018. Carly shares her home with her husband, two dogs, two tortoises, chickens, ducks and a cat.

Pam ~ Licensed Veterinary Technician
Pam began working at Pine Tree Veterinary Hospital in September of 1973, just out of high school. Thus, she has worked at Pine Tree for an amazing 45 years! During her time she has seen many changes and helped train many veterinary professionals, remaining committed to the goal of excellent patient care. Pam primarily works in the operating room monitoring anesthesia, assisting the surgeon, and maintaining all equipment and supplies. She is truly a gem!

Denise ~ Practice Manager
Denise came to Pine Tree in 1986, left briefly, and returned in 1990 to stay. She worked for many years as a veterinary technician and office administrator and has now taken over the reins as practice manager since 2013. In addition, Denise is largely responsible for our work in clinical trials, philanthropy, and generally keeping everything running smoothly! She is especially interested in therapeutic nutrition and the development and approval of new treatment modalities. Outside of work, Denise enjoys gardening specializing in hot peppers and fantastic tomatoes. She is also a gifted cook. Her other interests include bird watching and spending time with her critters including 1 dog, 1 cat, 3 birds, and 2 betta fish.

Mr. Dai
Mr. Dai is Denise's very handsome Shih Tzu. He assumes many roles including office greeter, security task force, and the bestest boy around. You might see him out and about during lunch making sure everything is getting done!
